Traditionally the methods for verifying that pipeline trenches have been dug to spec has relied an manual and visual assessments. We offer a better method by using scanning technology to create a 3D model of the trench that can be automatically analyzed. Length, width, and height can all be extracted, as well as measurements of the volume removed, and even alerts to any abnormal protrusions such as rocks that have shifted after the dig. By automating the process we help guarantee that newly constructed pipelines are installed into properly measured and analyzed trenches, helping to minimize any potential for future failure.
Building Information Modeling
As 3D technology has continued to evolve the desire for detailed building models has grown as well. Stationary, mobile, and even aerial LiDAR can be used for this purpose, and the addition of photography allows for RGB mapping, creating a colorized, interactive 3D model of the structure. Rail Network Inspection
The safety of any rail network relies on proper inspections. And in order to effectively inspect the rail you need to be able to do it both efficiently and accurately. We utilize complimentary technologies to capture all of the data pertinent to the rail network. The Laser Crack Measurement System (LCMS) provides a close-up and detailed 3D scan of the tracks and rail bed, while mobile LiDAR and high-resolution imaging systems create a model of the surrounding environment. By using these technologies in tandem we provide a comprehensive overview of the network and existing infrastructure.
