Self driving cars. While they were once only a vision of the future, we are now living in a world where autonomous vehicles have become a reality. Major auto manufactures are already testing and refining the technology for adoption in the near future. Autonomous cars rely on a variety of technology to operate, but all of the systems have the same major goal–safety. The core of the vehicle resides in the basemap, a high-definition dataset that provides detailed information for the surrounding environment. Our Stout software is able to analyze and extract pertinent information for autonomous base maps and ensure that the data is not only usable, but incredibly accurate.
